Students Accommodation Service

Mzumbe University Morogoro campus offers residential halls with accommodation capacity of more than 3,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The University accommodation facilities are friendly such that can accommodate students with disabilities provided in our accommodation policy. The policy recognises and gives priority to first year female and male undergraduate students.

There are residential halls for postgraduate students and international students as well as visiting international academic staff around the campus. The directorate of Buildings and Estate is responsible for management of the facilities while the Dean of Student’s Office undertakes coordination.

There are private accommodation facilities around our campuses; the facilities are continuously being checked by the University administration to ensure that they provide services in line with the University requirements. This is due to the inadequacy of the facilities caused by the increase in number of students on campus. The Directorate of Students Welfare ensures students security and conducive environment for learning and at affordable rates thereof.

Frequently Asked Questions

Accomodation Fee?

Accomodation Fee is paid per semister. It is Tsh. 59,500 per semister for undergraduate students and Tsh. 89,000 per semister for posgraduate students.

How to pay accomodation Fee?

Accomodation fee is paid through special payment Control number generated when you are booking for hostel.This payment Control number lasts for 24 hours,thus dont book for accomodation if you dont have money to pay at the moment, Only Registered Students can book for accomodation.

When to book for accomodationt?

Booking is made online via Mzumbe University Academic Records Management System-MU-ARMS.Click here to Book

 

Hostel are normally opened for booking mostl one week before semister opening date.

Only Registered Students can book for accomodation and hostels are opened based on order of priority stated in accomodation policy.

What to do if I paid for accomodation BUT not allocated or Room? ?

If you have booked and paid for accomodation within 24 hours and found that no room you have allocated,just consult the Accomodation Section office found at Karume hostel main campus Morogoro.

Hostel Booking - Order of Priority

Since the accommodation facilities are not adequate, the university management devised its accommodation policy and guidelines. According to the Mzumbe Students’ Accommodations Policy and its guidelines, students will be offered accommodation in the University hostels in the following priority:-

  • Students with physical disability and other health challenges.
  • International Students.
  • First -year students.
  • Continuing students.
