Dr. Venance Shilingi is a Senior Lecturer, Researcher, and Strategic Management consultant at Mzumbe University, School of Public Administration and Management (SOPAM) in Morogoro, Tanzania. He holds a PhD in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya, an MBA (Corporate Management), and a Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) from Mzumbe University, Tanzania. Dr. Shilingi's research focuses on strategic management, strategic leadership, land conflicts, and revenue enhancement in Local Government Authorities (LGAs). His research methodology is pragmatism (mixed-method design), and he has published extensively on strategy execution, private security, and quality service delivery. With over 15 years of experience in teaching, research, and consultancy, he has supervised one PhD student, over 70 master’s students, and 150+ undergraduate students in field research. He is also a Research Associate with the Bonn International Centre for Conflict Studies (BICC) in Bonn, Germany. Dr. Shilingi is married to CPA Sarah R. Mngoya and is a father of four.
