• Mzumbe University main campus Morogoro is located in suburbs of Mzumbe,It is also close to the suburbs of Changarawe, Vikenge and Kipera .The campus has many entrances for both cars and pedestrians, thus it open campus is at risk from criminal activities. University Security Unit can be contacted for assistance. On-campus security services are available 24 hrs for your convenience and safety. Its offices are located within campus near Lumumba Complex Hotel. If you have any official events just visit their office for security arrangement. University Security Unit has many pronged approach to campus security and safety including Uniformed Security staff patrol the campus on foot and their presence acts as a positive deterrent against criminals.

• Morogoro is a safe town with well policed streets and low crime. It is however advisable to avoid walking alone especially during nignt..

• Your stay in Town of Morogoro will have you feeling like you have diamonds at the soles of your feet. So, go ahead and prepare to be entertained by compelling art shows, thrilling nightlife, and engaging beauty of the people and surroundings of the town. • Experience winter like no other with cold spats in the morning( especially from May to September) and warm and pleasant afternoons (but there is no snow) so be sure to have sunscreen, hats, sunshades and a bottle of water when going out in summer.

• Students have a choice of taking meals at any of the two cafeterias on campus or a variety of food outlets on and off campus.

• Tanzania uses 240 volts of electricity. For wall sockets we use 3-pin round and square sockets.

At Mzumbe University we are committed to supporting our students from their first year to graduation. While your time at university can be the best years of your life, you do sometimes need a little help along the way.

The Directorate of Students’ Services(DSS)  oversees all student services and activities, including student orientation, sport and games, student accommodation, student  financial aid and the Student Wellness Service. This directorate  also works with a multitude of partner and support departments to cater for the needs of all students.

It focuses on:

• helping students to succeed academically
• assisting students to become engaged citizens
• supporting students to reach their full potential.

Gender Desk

The University has Gender Desk Office across all our campuses, This Office offers a range of support services including:

• Supporting survivors of rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment and all forms of discrimination and marginalisation
• Providing case management advice and support to respondents, mediation services, training and awareness raising

ICT Unit is a university organ that  provides supports to  staff and students when using  information and communication technologies to enhance their work.

ICTU provides a wide range of services and support to staff and students, including:

• E-mail and Timetable
• servers, 
• anti-virus and security
• desktop hardware and software (acquisition, maintenance and support)
• training
• Administrative Systems Support (such as MUARMS, PEPMIS, NeST, E-Office, MUSE, OAAP)
• Student Computing Support (such as Computer labs)

Use our Helpdesk Portal to Request for Assitance  from any department of University, For ICT Support you can also Visit the ICTU office at your campus to get assistance with configuring your ICT equipment so that it connects safely to the UCT network. ICTU Staff will assist staff,  and students in managing password changes and obtaining the latest software updates. They also provide basic Windows support and hardware troubleshooting.

In addition to handling support requests, ICTU is also responsible for regular operational and maintenance work for all the systems and services on the MU network.
