The transfer procedures for first-year students wishing to transfer to Mzumbe University from other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) either within the same or a different programme (inter-university transfer), or from one programme to another within the same institution (intra-university transfer), are as follows:
Applications for transfer should be submitted in writing to Mzumbe University through the office of Deputy Vice Chancellor-Academic, Research and Consultancy (DVC-ARC).
Student(s) from requesting to be transferred to Mzumbe either under inter-university transfer or under intra-university transfer must be admitted to a degree programme in the current academic year
The programme to which the transfer is sought must have available slots to accommodate additional students;
The applicant must meet the minimum entry requirements and the selection cut-off points for the desired degree programme. You may consult the admission office for more information
Transfer Procedures for Continuing Students:
The transfer procedures for continuing students wishing to transfer from one university to another and from one programme to another falls under credit transfer systems. The 2012 University Qualification Framework and the 2019 Handbook for Standards and Guidelines for Universities Educations in Tanzania, which is subject to periodic revisions, both specify the transfer procedures.
Postponements
Students may be allowed to postpone studies/examinations/tests/assignments for various reasons as stipulated in the Mzumbe University Examinations and Students’ Assessment Criteria By-Laws. Postponement of studies may be allowed only if requested at least three weeks before the end of teaching while postponement of examinations may be allowed only if requested within one week before the end of teaching.
